GREAT PLACE: SITU PATENGGANG

Bandung is the capital city of West Java province. It is located in the middle of West Java. The area of Bandung is about 167.27 km² and the population is about 2,771,138. It is divided by five parts: there are North Bandung, West Bandung, East Bandung, South Bandung, and Central Bandung. Actually, Bandung is surrounded by volcanic mountains, so it makes the weather of it cold. 

The facilities that you will get in Bandung are hotels, malls, clubs, factory outlets and other entertainment places. So, Bandung is called a metropolitan city. Besides, it is called one of educated city too: it has many schools, universities, and colleges. Then, Bandung has other facilities like restaurants, jails, police stations, traditional markets, places for take a pray, a city square, historical buildings, museums, hospitals, and the tourism place. One of the beautiful tourist attractions is Situ Patenggang.

Situ Patenggang is located in Ciwidey, South Bandung. It takes about 2 hours from Leuwipanjang terminal. I think, it’s a very romantic place, with the natural beauty. The lake is surrounded by carpet plantations of tea and many big trees. There are gazebos beyond the lake. We can see the view from there and take a rest.

We can find a small island where located in the middle of the lake. Its name is Pulau Sasuka. Then, we can go around it by a boat. Across the lake, there is a Batu Cinta which has a unique story. Many people believe that this stone can give an endless love to spouses who visit it. Actually, it is really beautiful and peaceful!
